Cost, Insurance and Superbills at PhysioVictory
Plain answers about what a visit costs, why we are out of network, and how to use your insurance anyway.
PhysioVictory does not take insurance. We are a cash-based, out-of-network physical therapy clinic in Conroe: a New Client Assessment is $225 and a follow-up visit is $199. You get a superbill to send to your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement, and HSA and FSA cards work here.
What a visit costs
- New Client Assessment, 60 minutes, one-on-one: $225. Every new client starts here.
- Follow-up treatment visit, 45 minutes: $199
- Dry needling visit: $199. It usually includes manual therapy or exercise for the cause of the tightness.
- Cupping: from $42
- Normatec compression: $42
- Victory+ Activation, a monthly maintenance membership for established clients who have finished their initial care: from $78 a month
No packages, no discounts, no contracts. You pay one visit at a time.
Why we stay out of network
We stay out of network on purpose. Insurance-based clinics get paid per visit by the insurer, which pushes them toward short, double-booked appointments and care handed off to aides. Working for you directly means the plan is whatever your body actually needs, and if you are better after a few visits, that is the end of it.
Many people find this costs less than an in-network clinic once they count a high deductible, co-pays at every visit, hours of work missed and a higher number of visits.
How a superbill works
A superbill is an itemized receipt with the codes your insurance company needs. After your visit we give you one on request. You send it to your insurer, and if your plan covers out-of-network physical therapy, they reimburse you directly.
Some plans reimburse part of out-of-network physical therapy once your deductible is met; many do not. Before your first visit, call the number on your card and ask about "out-of-network outpatient physical therapy." We cannot promise what your plan will do, but the superbill gives them everything they need.
One detail that matters: if you want to submit a superbill, a referral from your physician needs to be on file within the first 30 days of care. We handle that with your doctor during the first weeks so nothing interrupts your care. We do not provide superbills without a physician referral on file. This generally improves your chance of reimbursement.
HSA and FSA
Yes, both work. PhysioVictory is a licensed physical therapy practice, so evaluations, follow-ups, dry needling, manual therapy and pelvic floor care are all eligible expenses. Use your HSA or FSA debit card at the clinic. If your plan asks for paperwork, we give you an itemized receipt.
Do I need a referral?
Not to start. Texas direct access lets you see a licensed physical therapist for up to 30 days without a referral. You can book an assessment today.
If your care continues past 30 days, or if you want to submit a superbill to your insurance, a referral needs to be on file. If you only need a few visits and are not using insurance, you never need one.
How payment works
Only the first visit is paid up front, to hold the hour. After that, the card on file is charged the day of each visit. Most clients book a standing weekly time a few weeks ahead so the work stays consistent; that is a reservation, not a contract, and you can stop whenever you want.
Questions people ask
Is $225 for the first visit normal? It is a 60-minute, one-on-one visit with a doctor of physical therapy: full history, hands-on evaluation, a treatment plan, and home recommendations to start that day. Most in-network evaluations are 20 to 30 minutes with the therapist and the rest with an aide.
Can I pay with a credit card? Yes. Card, HSA or FSA debit card. The card on file is charged the day of each visit after the first.
What if I only want one visit? That is fine. Some people come once for an assessment and a plan they can run on their own.
Will you bill my insurance for me? No. We give you the superbill and you submit it. That is what keeps the visit long and one-on-one.
Do you offer payment plans? No. There are no packages or contracts, so there is nothing to finance; you pay visit by visit. We are able to accept a CareCredit credit card, which for many people allows them to choose a promotional financing period, but this is set up by you with CareCredit directly.
